Installation instructions
- Insert the Epson 4x driver diskette into your a: drive. At the c: prompt in DOS, type
and press enter. At the a: prompt in DOS, type
a:and press enter.
install- The CDD-220 Installation Software screen will appear on your screen. Once you have read through the information, press the Y key on your keyboard to begin the installation.
- The next screen will show you the files that are being copied to your hard drive. Once the files are copied to your hard drive and the config.sys, autoexec.bat and system.ini files are modified, the Setup Okay! message will appear in the lower left hand corner of the screen. Press enter to continue.
- The final screen prompts you to remove the diskette from the a: drive and press enter to reboot your system. Press enter to complete the installation.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Make sure that both ends of the flat gray data cable are securely in place.
- Make sure that the drive is correctly jumpered according to your Userís Guide.
- Make sure that you have a CD disc in the drive with the label side up.
- Once you place a CD disc in the drive, the light on the front of the drive will flash for a few moments, then remain on constantly while you have a CD disc in the drive. When accessing the CD disc the light on the CD-ROM drive will flash.
- The config.sys line should read C:\CDD\WCD.SYS /D:WP_CDROM.
- The autoexec.bat line should read C:\CDD\MSCDEX.EXE /M:20.
