If that is the case, make sure the monitor's refresh rate has been set properly and the system is set to run in the 800x600, 256 color mode. In Windows 95 check the monitor and adapter settings by following these steps
- Right click once on the Windows desktop.
- Choose the Properties option.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click the Change Display Type button.
You will see the current settings for the Monitor type and Adapter type. If you are using Windows 3.x to check the monitor and adapter settings, do the following:
- Go to the Main group.
- Double click on the Windows Setup icon.
The monitor and display type currently in use will be displayed.
