Issue: When running Microsoft Bob on some Gateway 2000® Pentium® computers that came pre-installed with Windows® 95 and Microsoft Bob, the following error may be received when inserting WordArt in MS Bob's Letter Writer:
I can't seem to create that object. If you want, I can try creating something else for you.
The following error occurs when trying to create a card in Great Greetings:
I couldn't add the text to your card. Try this: Close any other programs you have running, then try to add your text again.
Resolution: Register Microsoft Bob WordArt in the Windows 95 Registry by using the following steps:
- Close Microsoft Bob.
- Click the Start button, and then click Run.
- Type in UTOPIA.REG.
- Click OK when the following message appears:
Information in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\UTOPIA.REG has been successfully entered into the Registry.
- Click the Start button, and then click Run.
- Type in UTOPIAWA.REG.
- Click OK when the following message appears:
Information in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\UTOPIAWA.REG has been successfully entered into the Registry.
- Start Microsoft Bob. You should now be able to create cards in Great Greetings and insert WordArt in Letter Writer.
