Issue: When a default printer is not selected in Microsoft^®Works 4.0 and a customer wants to use the FaxWorks printer to fax out of Works, the error No Default Printer selected occurs even if FX_WORKS is selected as the default driver.

Resolution: The system must have a second printer driver loaded.

1. If you own a printer but have not loaded the printer driver, you must load the a driver in order for FaxWorks to be selected or to load another printer driver. Generic Text Only can be selected if the system does not have a printer attached.
2. Set the second printer driver as the default printer. Enter Works 4.0, and no error messages will appear.
3. Exit Works, and set the FX_WORKS printer driver as the default. The second driver may then be deleted if you choose. You may now fax out of Works.
