Issue: When the CMS Jumbo 1400 1.3 GB TBU is used with the Aladdin or Zappa motherboard and Advanced Power Management is enabled, the TBU will fail during a tape format giving the error Tape Error 92.
Resolution: The known solution is to disable Power Management during this process. Follow the steps below to disable Advanced Power Management.
- Turn on the system, and press F1 to enter Setup.
- Use the right arrow to highlight the "Advanced" option in CMOS.
- Use the down arrow to select "Power Management Configuration".
- Hit enter, and change the selection from "Enabled" to "Disabled".
- Save the changes, and allow the system to reboot.
- Format the tape, and perform the tape backup.
- Reboot the system, and follow steps 1-4 to change the Power Management Configuration to Enabled.
