Problem: CABLE PROBLEM IN THE DOWNTOWN CHATHAM AREA
Bell reported a problem with a cable in the downtown Chatham area. The problem occured around 6:30am on Saturday and persisted till about 4:30pm in the afternoon. The problem not only affected the inbound telephone lines but also the Internet connectivity. This problem affected netROVER as well as other companies in the downtown area.

Problem: Bandwidth upgrades - Outages on the web
Our customers in Chicoutimi Qc, Trois-Rivieres Qc, Sherbrooke Qc, Windsor On and Chatham On, were affected with web outages this morning, between 9H00 and 11H15 EST.
SPRINT is proceeding with bandwidth upgrades in those cities; netROVER circuits have to be moved from one gateway network to another. These changes should improve download speeds.
The completion of these upgrades will take place during the first 10 days of January 1997. This will result in significant overall improvement.
