Checksum Error or Key Error on Hard Drive

Product: Toaster Flyer LightWave

Platforms: Amiga

Problem: Install or operation of software fails with an error message that there is a checksum error or key error on an Amiga hard drive.

This message indicates that there is a fault in the information stored on the hard drive. The error may be one which can be repaired using a disk utility such as AmiBack Tools, Quarterback Tools, or DiskSalv. The user should not attempt to do any further work with files stored on the affected drive until the condition has been corrected. If the condition cannot be corrected with a utility, then the drive may need to be reformatted. If checksum errors recur soon after reformatting, the drive should be replaced.
