*.rad*		Radience format. Native file format for the public domain Unix Radiance radiosity renderer.
*.ra, .ram*		RealAudio file format. Used to listen to music in real time on the Web.
*.ras*		Raster file format. Native bitmap format of Sun Microsystem Unix systems.
*.ray*		Rayshade format. native scene description language used by Rayshade, a raytracing program.
*.raw*		Flexible file format for transferring image documents between different applications and platforms.
*.rgb*		Red Green Blue format. Created by Silicon Graphics for image files.
*.rif*		Raster Image File format. Native format of Fractal Design Painter which allows objects to remain separate from the canvas for future manipulation.
*.rle*		Run Length Encoding format. An old black & white-only computer-independent graphics format.
*.rtf*		Rich Text Format. A method of encoding formatted text and graphics for easy transfer between MS-DOS, Windows, Windows 95, OS/2, and Apple Macintosh applications.
