Installing Mitsumi Quadruple Speed CD-ROM Drivers

This document covers the installation of the Mitsumi quadruple speed CD-ROM drivers. Follow these steps if you need to install the CD-ROM drivers for any reason. Installation procedure:
  1. Once you have installed the hardware as instructed in the system, you are ready to proceed with the installation of the software.
  2. Insert the Mitsumi CD-ROM diskette into drive A:. At the C:\> prompt, type:
    a:
    
    and press Enter. At the A:\> prompt type:
    setupd
    
    and press Enter.
  3. The first screen that appears asks you to select a language. Press the number 1 key on the keyboard and press Enter to continue.
  4. The next screen is titled Atapi CD-ROM Installation. The screen contains information on the installation program. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to highlight Begin Installation and press Enter.
  5. The next screen shows the default directory for the CD-ROM device driver file which is C:\MTM. Press Enter to accept this default and continue the installation.
  6. The final screen displays the files that were copied onto the hard drive and which files were modified during installation. At this point you are at a C:\> prompt at the bottom of the screen.
  7. Remove the diskette from the drive and reboot the system for the drivers to take effect.
