Cannot Disable the Joystick Port on the Ensoniq VIVO


Issue: A user is unable to disable the joystick port on Ensoniq® SoundscapeTM VIVO Sound Card, part number SNDCRD006ADWW.

Resolution: With the drivers SNDDSX008ADWW for the Ensoniq VIVO, the only way to disable the joystick port is to follow the steps below.

  1. Enter MS-DOS mode.
  2. Edit the SNDSCAPE.INI file in the Windows® directory. Change the line JSEnable=true to JSEnable=false.
  3. Save the file, and reboot the system. The joystick will be disabled.
