Low Tape Tension Error When Attempting Backup with 1.3 GB Tape


Issue: Customers using 1.3 GB TBU TAPE (TBUTAP002AAWW) with the 1.3 GB TBU (TBUINT002AAWW) may experience LOW TAPE TENSION errors when attempting to backup data.

Resolution: The issue may lie with the tape itself. The manufacturer of the tape is 3M Corporation. Customers who receive a tape with a date stamp of NOVEMBER 1995 or DECEMBER 1995 on the metallic casing of the tape may see this issue. If you verify that the date stamp on the tape cartridge matches the preceding information, contact the 3M Service Hotline at 1-800-328-9438. 3M will ship a new cartridge at 3Mís expense.
