Technical Activities and Hobbies

As the vice system manager of the Infolab UNIX cluster, Jeroen spends much time tinkering with a real operating system. This caused a complete and total dislike of that other so-called "operating system" that is sold by the millions by a certain company. The chairman of this company really cares for us! He even supports his own University.

Fortunately, another company created a wonderful operating system that runs very well on the normal clone machines that everyone owns, resembles UNIX quite closely, has complete TCP/IP and Novell support, looks and handles as good or better as a Macintosh, and still runs all normal DOS stuff you need every day. This system is called OS/2 and provides every bit of functionality that you need in a distributed, heterogeneous environment such as the Infolab.

In his sparse spare time, Jeroen roams the skies as a Falcon pilot and specialises in smoking MiG-29 Fulcrums and collecting SA-7 Grails.
