Research interests
Jeroen has been part of the COOPerator
project, in which he graduated (also see: The COOPerator). In this project he has been one of the
implementors and designers of the original concepts behind the tool.
The major focus of his thesis has been an attempt to construct some sort
of workable Group Model. Currently Jeroen is working in the Royal Dutch
Navy and is responsible for the implementation of new client server
oriented software.
Current interests
- The construction of CSCW tools to support groups of authors working
in a distributed, asynchronious mode;
- MultiMedia mail extensions;
- Real-time video communications through digital networks;
- Extensions of current User Models theories to a theory that can cope
with the concept of a group. Personally, I've started to call this Group
Models. See also my thesis.
