Associate Members

Rationale

In December 1994, IDOM created the status of Associate Members to simplify the participation of academic and industrial sites working in the IDOM convergence areas (databases, information retrieval and multi-media) from European countries. Thereby, IDOM seeks to act as a forum for information exchange and to enhance the involvement of European research and development sites in IDOM.

Rights

Inclusion of a short site address information in the IDOM membership directory.
Moderated announcements on the IDOM bulletin-board.
Optional inclusion in the IDOM (electronic and surface) mailing list.
Unrestricted browsing access to all electronic IDOM Services (bulletin board, technology transfer server, OASIS acronym and standards service, ...)

Obligations

Submission of a short site address information to be published in the Technical Contributor section of the IDOM member directory.
