Borland Connections is a set of programs designed to support third-party relationships with Developers, Consultants, Value-Added Resellers (VARs), Systems Integrators, and Training Companies. These programs provide a full complement of products and services to ensure your success. The programs deliver five areas of assistance: Product, Information, Training, Support, and Business Development.

Borland Connections is comprised of the following programs which address the unique requirements of third-party partners:

Developer Connection

The Borland Developer Connection is designed for developers and consultants who focus on a single Borland product: Paradox(R), dBASE(R), Borland(R) C++, or Borland Pascal. The Borland Developer Connection provides:

• Automatic updates to your product
• Prerelease copies of software for early evaluation
• Quarterly information briefings
• Bimonthly informational mailings
• Borland training videos
• A $100 credit toward the Borland International Conference
• One-year subscription to the Borland (r) KnowledgeBase CD
• Preferred renter status for the Borland registered mailing list
• Sales leads

SI/VAR Connection

The Borland SI/VAR Connection is designed to support VARs and Systems Integrators who are providing Client/Server solutions today or are looking to upsize their expertise and customers into the Client/Server market. In addition to all the elements included in the Borland Developer Connection, the Borland SI/VAR Connection provides:

• A library of Borland products with a license for five users of each
• A copy of InterBase (r) with a license for two users (InterBase for SCO UNIX to be shipped immediately, plus your choice of InterBase for NetWare NLM, Windows NT, or OS/2 (r) when available)
• Technical support with a five-hour credit for the Borland Advisor Line
• The ability to purchase specially priced license packs through Borland's distributors

Training Connection

The Borland Training Connection is designed to support training organizations who require support for the complete family of Borland products. In addition to the elements included in the Borland SI/VAR Connection, the Borland Training Connection provides:

• Flexible training licenses which permit the training company to install up to 40 copies of our software on their training machines
• Discounts on Borland courseware (distributed through Logical Operations)
• Training members may sign up as a Learning Tools Distributor, eligible to resell Borland Press books
• You will receive an annual contract for the Borland Assist Support Line

Training Upgrade

Borland Developer Connection and SI/VAR Connection members may upgrade to the Borland Training Connection program for $500. The Training Connection upgrade provides:

• Flexible training licenses which permit you to install up to 40 copies of your Borland software on your training machines
• Discounts on Borland courseware (distributed through Logical Operations)
• You will receive targeted leads as a Training Connection member, as well as the leads received under your current member status
• Listing in the Borland Connections Directory as a Training Connection member
