A Bit of Biographical Information

Welcome

I am a computer programmer in Calgary, Alberta , Canada. I work for Choice Software Systems Ltd., where I help develop a system that helps retailers have happier lives.

Our home (shared with Corinne Egger), harbours two budgerigar, Freud and Babbage, one cockatiel, Jambalaya (Jammy to her friends), and one senegal parrot, Dexter. Oh, ya, and a 486 linux box in a pear tree!

I am an alumnus of the University of Calgary computer science program with a bachelor of science degree. I am currently a member of the Calgary Unix Users Group ( CUUG.)

Sport

I like curling. I really like to sit in front of the tube and watch curling. Really. I do. Curling is a passion of mine.

In order to combat Repetitive Strain Injury (anyone know of a good link here?) and Repetitive Beer Imbibing belly (no link can do this justice), and because I missed the 1993/94 Curling season, I joined the Taoist Tai Chi Society. I find Taoist Tai Chi to be very relaxing and of great physical and mental benefit. I now instruct as well as study this style.

Passions:

Taoist Tai Chi
Birds. Could I get some more birds please. The ones we have only take up eighty percent of every waking moment.
The Tao Te Ching, Chang Tzu. These writings by taoist sages are thought provoking, intuitive, obscure, short, amusing, stunning, and stuff.
