Khoros Speech Toolbox

This page lists the programs that have been developed for a Khoros speech toolbox.

Speech Toolbox

The following image shows the speech toolbox as it appears in cantata. Clicking on the image will bring up an expanded view of the toolbox window.

These are the programs that are included in the toolbox.

asnd2viff - Converts a Sun/Next sound file to a Khoros VIFF file.
aviff2snd - Converts a Khoros VIFF sound file to a Sun/Next sound file.
abutter3 - 3rd order butterworth filter.
acclip - Center clips the input file.
aconv - Convert one sound data type to another. The valid types are: 1, 2, & 4 byte linear, floating point & double floating point, and MU-LAW data.
afactor - Apply a coefficient matrix to input data.
alpc - Perform LPC analysis.
aplp - Perform PLP analysis.
aplay - Play a VIFF or SUN/Next sound file.
araw2viff - Convert raw binary data or ascii data to a Khoros VIFF sound file.
aviff2raw - Convert a Khoros VIFF sound file to raw binary or ascii data.
aresamp - Resample the input data. Uses cubic spline interpolation, linear interpolation, or no interpolation.
asetaudio - Set the audio variables of a VIFF header.
vsonogram - Compute a sonogram of an input sound file.
aband2vec - This is a data manipulation tool that coverts a multibanded input to vectors.
avec2band - This is a data manipulation tool that coverts a vector input to multibanded data.
