Indeo® Video is Intel's software video compression and playback technology. It provides users with a standard format for recording and compressing digital video on the PC desktop. Indeo ® Video is capable of reducing the size of a video file from 30MB/sec to 200KB/sec. Not only does this dramatically reduce the file storage requirements, it also improves the playback performance of the video from devices such as CD-ROM drives.
