Eric Clapton follows his multi-platinum, multi- Grammy-winning triumph "Unplugged" with a new album that is both a heartfelt tribute to his musical roots and a compelling reaffirmation of his artistic vision.
"From The Cradle" features Clapton performing 16 blues classics-including works by Robert Johnson, Elmore James and Willie Dixon-with the passionate conviction of a man who's loved this music for decades (which he has).
"This [album] is me in terms of my musical identity today-where I came from and what I mean," says Clapton. "And wherever I go in the future, it will be as a result of this."
Joining Clapton on the album are such master musicians as Andy Fairweather Low, Jim Keltner and Richie Hayward.
Expect intense publicity surrounding the release of this album. Singles and videos will be forthcoming, and Clapton will be on tour shortly.
