Announcing ie - 1.3.7

Iris Computing Laboratories announces the latest release of its X Window System editor, ie. ie - 1.3.7 is a major upgrade that includes many enhancements. With ie's macro facility, users, including nonprogrammers, can design custom commands that automate repetitive tasks and customize their editing environment. ie supports macro design from an external file, as well as through its viewable, editable playback macro window. ie's playback macro facility allows users to design macros without referencing built-in functions by name.

ie's larger (of two) search-and-replace facility now supports a "Locate Lines" capability, providing selection box-based navigation of every line matching the search pattern. Other enhancements with ie - 1.3.7 include pre- and post-filter processing, click-style menus, pending-delete functionality, a key information look-up facility, additional tab/blank translation capabilities, license manager usage statistics, and numerous small additions.
