A Senior Inventory Planner within the Components Recovery Department (CRD) at st. Barthélémy (France),
is a team leader role within the inventory group who are responsible for the inventory availability and
serviceability to Customer Service as well as optimising inventory turns for excess and obsolete product.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Man-management and Service responsibility for a buyer and inventory planner.
- Enhance the financial appreciation within the product group to improve inventory
holding policies which represent sensible commercial decisions.
- Provide value-adding support for the team to use
non-standard channels to enhance
inventory availability.
- Provide system enhancement suggestions to improve the
overall serviceability of the team.
- Analytical approach to the overall supply-chain process to
ensure effort is focused and prioritised
in the most effective way.
- Maximise serviceability for the Customer Service support of
product, based on existing and
changing service relationships by close inventory analysis and effective planning to support
all needs.
- Ensure non-current product is minimised in other warehouse locations outside of CRD.
- Maximise inventory availability of current product used in manufacture.
- Maximise inventory availability of non-current product,
excess to CS needs to the
re-sale group.
- Close liaison with Wijchen operation on substitution and replacement decisions and regular
exception reporting.
Function requirements:
- Previous experience in a Materials Planning or an Inventory
Control environment preferably in a
Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in a team leading/supervisory role.
- Systems experience, preferably with SOPSYS/MAAPICS. Applications experience of Clear Access,
Excel and Delphi.
- An inventory appreciation/understanding of usage-demand
patterns, inventory holding options
and product life cycle patterns. MRP knowledge.
- Service oriented, a team leader with a value adding attitude,
good communication skills and the drive
energy and tenacity to achieve clear objectives.
- Educational qualifications: A minimum of the Baccalaureate
plus five years or equivalent or "A" level standard.
- Good working knowledge of French and English (TOEIC 800+)
