East of Eden

The movie takes place around the time of WWI, definitely before 1923. In the carnival scene, the calliope is heard playing "Ain't She Sweet". This was the number one song ... in 1927.

Ed Wood

When Ed is filming Bela Lugosi's last footage in front of his house, he is standing on the sidewalk, facing the house. From the camera's point of view there is a concrete walk leading to the porch, yet when there's a cut to the house's view, the walk is gone. It's just grass.

When Ed is talking to Tor Johnson for the first time, Tor yells at another wrestler "Yeah, right! In your dreams!" No one used the term "In your dreams" back in the 1950's.

The crew of Bride of the Monster has to break into a warehouse to steal a fake octopus for the final scene. They're all very sneaky about it, yet the next morning, when they put the octopus back, it's in broad daylight, and they move rather casually.

The scene of Bela Lugosi's final footage in front of his house is quite different from the shot actually used in Plan 9 from Outer Space.

The Edge

In the film they say that by rubbing a paper clip with silk it can be magnetised. Someone has obviously mistaken the rubbing of a piece of amber with silk to induce a static electric charge with magnetism. A magnet can only be created by placing magnetic material, such as a paper clip, in a magnetic field. Magnetic fields are created only by magnets, (a static field), or by an electrical current, which produces a static magnetic field for DC, a time-varying field for AC. One would have thought that somrone on the crew of The Edge would have had high school physics, and have noted this glaring error, particularly as the plot hangs on this action.

Empire Records

There is a scene where everyone is dancing. It's towards the end but not at the very end. One of the employees of the record store takes his shirt off. Then the camera cuts back and you see the entire group of people dancing. If you look at him he has his shirt back on. Then a couple of shots later he has it back off again.

In the scene where all of the employees are dancing around the store, Debra is shown taking off A.J.'s shirt. When the angle is moved to the balcony, A.J. can be seen from far away with his shirt on. Then when the camera zooms back in on him, it is off again.

When the two girls are in the bathroom, the one who is sitting on the toilet does number one or two (whatever) then she grabs some toilet paper but never wipes or flushes.

In the scene where AJ tries to tell Cory how he feels about her and she is distraught over her episode with Rex, she puts her sweater on and her hair remains under the sweater. Then you see her hair out of the sweater, and then back in again.

At the beginning of the movie when the employees start singing after Mark puts his song on, Renee Zellweger is supposed to be singing while she wipes the CDs but you hear her singing and her mouth is not even moving.

When Debra is sitting outside collecting money with a jar, they focus on her with the jar almost empty, then with a lot of money and then the jar is almost empty again.

Encino Man

In the convenience store, Link weezes the juice and gets slurpee all over his shirt. He gets kicked out and leaves, but 2 seconds later he comes back in the door and says, "I'll be back". At that point he has nothing on his shirt at all and it's completely dry.

The English Patient

After Almasy comes out from the desert, he goes to the British soldiers. They offer him a half glass of water. As they hand him the water, there is a scene change, but the water now is a full glass.

At the very end of the movie, just before the credits, there is an aerial scene of the desert like the one at the beginning. At the bottom left of the screen you can see the knee of the cameraman (in jeans) for about 1 or 2 seconds.

Eraser

At the end, Arnie is shot in one arm, which means he's got one left functioning. He jumps onto the side of a container being hoisted by a crane (he's got to use his only good arm to hang on). Yet, he still manages to punch some baddie on top of the container in the nose (with his 3rd arm).

When Arnold goes to the gay club to get help from the Mafia guy, watch as they are about to leave. His friend is seen in one scene with his vest on, in the next he has his vest off, then again with his vest on.

At the beginning, notice the brooch that holds the microphone on the woman. When she exits with the disk, the broach jumps to the other side of her coat.

Arnold dives to save the girl under the lid of a fridge. Knives are thrown at him with his hand above the fridge door. The knives are all thrown and none hit his hand. But the next angle shown he's got one in his hand.

When Arnold gives the girl a credit card, he slides the card to give her credit, but the magnetic strip is facing the wrong way.

You can see twice when bad guys are shot when the tape is cut and edited. The first one is when Arnold shoots the bad guy with the shot gun when looking for the blonde girl in the house, you can see just before he hits the picture on the wall that the tape is cut and replaced with the real guy instead of the dummy that was hit by the bullet. The second is at the end at the dock when Arnold has two of those really cool guns. He shoots a vehicle full of guys coming towards him and the vehicle blows up and flies over his head, and just before the vehicle blows up, you can see the cut & edit and then the car blows up and flies through the air. Undoubtedly replaced with a toy car that was blown up!

Evil Dead II

In one scene, Ash finds some pages from the Necronomicon lying in a mud puddle. He picks up the pages, and they're dry.

Further down the passage, Ash notices some pages sitting on top of a ledge. You see weight shift from his right arm (where he attached the chainsaw) to his left, and reach for the papers with his right hand.

There are 5 different colours of blood used throughout the movie. Ash always gets soaked by blood (either chopping Linda's head up, or hacking Professor Nobee to pieces), but always ends up dry in the next shot.

Excess Baggage

There is one scene where Alicia Silverstone is being taken away, and in the window, in the background, you can see a metro
train with the letters on the side stating BC Transit and a picture of the British Columbia flag. Yet, the whole movie supposedly takes place in Washington state.

Eye for an Eye

When Kiefer Sutherland kills the Spanish woman and they show a scene where she is dead, as the camera is about to go to another scene she blinks and about 2 seconds later they take the camera off her.

When Kiefer Sutherland is going up the stairs in Sally Field's house there is a large house plant on the landing of the stairs. But a few minutes later when the two are struggling for the gun they go tumbling down those same stairs and the plant is no longer there.
