Madame Bovary

Once in the subtitles her name is written as Edna (her name is Emma).

Mad love

Chris O'Donnell and Drew Barrymore are leaving the small town of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and they show the outskirts of the town as White Sands, when actually White Sands, New Mexico is about 2 hours away.

Major League

The team was the Cleveland Indians, but it was filmed in Milwaukee County Stadium, home of the Brewers.

After the Indians win the pennant, they show a shot of the crowd where Jake's girlfriend is. In the first shot there's a guy in a red shirt running down the stairs. The next time they show the stands he's running down again.

Major League 2

Although the team is still the Indians, this was filmed at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore.

There is one scene where the Indians outfield rounds third and misses the base.

The umpire during the final scene was played by a real umpire, except on occasion when an actor had lines to say. You can tell when they switch because you see his white undershirt at the collar - not the black turtleneck that the real umpire wears.

In all the baseball scenes the stands are filled mostly with cardboard cut-outs of people, with a few real people mixed in.

Signs for Baltimore based businesses are clearly visible in the stands, such as "Sheraton Inner Harbor" and various Baltimore banks.

Major Payne

In the scene where Wayans and the nurse are at the club, Wayans is eating his food really fast. In the next frame where the camera is behind Wayans looking at the nurse, in the corner the food is intact.

When Major Payne is sleeping in bed with his eyes open, and the Green Boys are trying to take a picture of him with the fat boy in a dress, you can see his right eye move in the shot just before he wakes up.

Man from Snowy River

When the colt is leading a stampede of wild horses that run over Jim, there is a man riding a horse in the back of the pack.

Man from Snowy River 2

After Jim's horse is shot from under him while running down the really steep hill, and Jim later regains consciousness, before he turns and finds his horse dead, if you watch closely you can see the horse still breathing.

The Man in the Iron Mask

The mask that is removed from Leo has 3 parts - a face mask which is held onto Leo's head, with a 2 piece hinged cage that
locks in the back. In the flashback, where thy show Leo being put in the mask, it is only 2 pieces. The face part is fused to the hinged cage section.

The Man Who Knew Too Little

Bill Murray has to take out some guy named Venkman at the end. Not a goof, just a subtle link to Ghostbusters. [Or a premonition - was this film before or after?]

Marked For Death

In the scene where a carload of bad guys drives past the front of Segal's sister's house and riddles the front of the house with machine-gun fire, Segal quickly slams the front door shut, and you can very clearly see all the stunt charges attached to the door.

Steven Segal's character visits his friend in Ohio. They are standing in a high school football field and you can clearly see tall palm trees in the background. This same mistake is later repeated in another street scene.

Married to the Mob

About 40 minutes from the end (I think - Michelle Pfeiffer is on a beach with Dean Stockwell), a boom mike comes in from the bottom of the screen very obviously, taking up about a third of the screen.

Mars Attacks!

When those cute little Martians break into The White House and begin to blast away everything, a few of them get shot in the process. One gets shot in the helmet, and collapses to the ground, suffocating. A few minutes later, during the same scene, another gets shot, and likewise collapses. The animation of the two Martians collapsing is the same, just reversed.

When the Martians have Sarah Jessica Parker's head in a jar, and show her what they've done to her body, she screams, causing bubbles of air to rise from her mouth. If she's just a head, however, her lungs are gone, and no air could be created.

Pierce Brosnan doesn't have lungs for most of the movie either. So how do he and Parker talk to each other?

When Sarah Jessica Parker is talking to Pierce Brosnan on her show, her dog suddenly ends up in her lap. While she is talking her dog is beside her sleeping, when the camera cuts to another angle the dog is suddenly wide awake and sitting on her lap.

Near the beginning, when Michael J. Fox is talking to his wife, they tell yell at the dog so she lays her head on the table. As they continue to argue, the dog's head is up, only when they mention the dog again its head is down. As it hears its name its head pops up.

At the end just before the president is killed he fixes his tie, but it keeps on getting fixed to messed, to fixed.....

Right before the president is killed, the Martians shoot around in the room and knock over Australia. But when the president comes out of hiding, in the corner, you can see that it is intact.

Marty

In the very first scene when the camera pans in to the butcher shop you can clearly see the shadow of the cameraman on the scissor lift

Mary Poppins

While Mary Poppins reads the children's advertisement to Mr. Banks, her gloves change colour.

When they're talking about getting a new nanny, the mother gets a modern ring binder out.

The father tears the children's advert for a nanny up into 8 pieces, but when it comes out of the chimney it's in far more bits.

The Mask

When Stanley is in jail, he put toilet papers on the toilet seat. But a few seconds later the toilet paper is not on the toilet.

When the Mask crashes Nico's party at the Coco Bongo, Nico shoots him. According to the sounds, the gun should have flashed 8 times but it only flashes 2 times.

In the same scene, one of Dorian's goons gets bitten in the butt by masked Milo and his pants rip. But later on his pants are OK.

In the beginning when Ipkiss is talking to Tina about his tie the tie is down, then the camera switches to Tina and then back on Ipkiss. His tie is then on his shoulder and he drags it down.

After Stanley found the mask and gets back home and is watching some cartoons, Milo wants him to throw the frisbee. When the camera is switching from Stanley to Milo and then back to Stanley again you'll see the remote move to the right.

When Ipkiss is in jail and he is summoning Milo, the dog jumps up through the bars. When Ipkiss pulls him through, one of the bars swings a little bit. It must not have been a very secure cell.

In the scene where Milo jumps at the cell window to save Ipkiss, Stanley says "good boy," but his mouth doesn't move.

Maverick

Near the end of the movie, when Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson are riding horses, on the mountain in the background you can see a red car.

When Maverick is heading downstairs to the first poker game in the film, if you look out the window that he passes, the scenery is moving faster than he is. It's obviously a blue screen.

The smudge that Maverick gets on his collar in the subsequent fight changes shape from when he's outside to when he's inside.

During the scene when the trio is attempting to rescue the mission women's money, Maverick goes on a rant on how he is outmatched in bullets when set up against the thieves. He complains that he only has six, so he takes Ms. Bransford's gun as well, yet when the shooting finally begins, he fires about fourteen shots from his six-shooter before pulling out his second gun.

At the end, Ms. Bransford claims that both Maverick and his father sing the same wrong words to "Amazing Grace," but from what we heard of the song, all three of them sang it correctly.

Maximum Overdrive

If all machines are taking over and attacking humans, why didn't the boats attack the group of people near the end of the movie? Where were all the F-14 fighter jets? Apache attack helicopters? The biggest menace was a truck!

Men in Black

The alien devours the insides of a farmer and saves the skin which he consequently puts on. Now, he wears this 'costume' throughout the whole movie. At the end when he comes out he is shown as having many spikes and sharp points on his body. Why didn't these sharp points rip through the skin especially seeing as how the alien was very mobile. Also, why didn't these parts show through the skin seeing a how the skin was under considerable strain.

How could a huge alien warship send an extremely powerful beam to the North Pole of the Earth and neither be detected by geologists nor meteorologists.

When K and J interview the farmer's wife, there is a clear shot of a boom mike during a scene where they show the two of them together.

In the first scene that we see Will Smith, he is chasing a criminal, and he yells "LAPD!", but later says he is from the NYPD.

When "Edgar" walks into the morgue, he's carrying a shotgun. He sets it down by the side of the window. Later, J walks in and starts ringing the bell. You can clearly see there is no shotgun there. Also, when he has the revolver to the lady's head, he doesn't have the gun. So where did the shotgun go?

When K and J are driving the car along the roof of the tunnel, Will Smith's ankles are white.

At the very beginning, when Will Smith is chasing the alien around the building, he is running one direction around the building, and when the shot changes, he is running the other way.

Mermaids

Cher complains that Astroturf is going to ruin baseball. Mermaids is set in 1963 when Astroturf was still being developed under the name Chemigrass. It wasn't christened Astroturf until it made its world debut on the floor of the Houston Astrodome in 1966.

Miami Blues

When Baldwin kills the guy in the barber shop, he uses a Desert Eagle, a semi automatic pistol, yet it never ejects any shells.

Midnight Run

When the Duke falls into the water he has a pair of handcuffs only on his right wrist. When he is shown flowing downstream he has the cuffs only on his left wrist. The next shot where his hands can be seen the cuffs are on the right wrist again.

Jerry Geisler is at his desk just about to light a cigarette when Jack Walsh calls on the phone. Geisler angrily slams down his cigarette and lighter to answer the phone. In the time it takes him to say "Eddie, it's Jack" he has picked up both the lighter and cigarette and lit the cigarette.

At the beginning of the movie when Tony and Joey (Morons #1 and 2) meet Jack Walsh at the car rental desk, Tony writes a phone number on a packet of matches in pencil. Near the end of the movie when Jack Walsh fishes this pack of matches from his pocket, the phone number is written in pen.

Michael

When they are in the car driving to Chicago, the rear view mirror seems to appear and disappear at will. When the view is of the inside of the car looking back, the mirror is not there. When the view is of the inside of the car looking forward, the mirror is there. When seeing the car from the outside, the mirror is there again....

The Mighty Ducks

When Bombay asks Fulton to "Do it again" after shooting the puck, the first window he broke is fixed.

On the last goal on the penalty shot the ref allows the coach to let any player on the team to take the shot. While this was great for the script, hockey rules state that the player who drew the penalty takes the penalty shot.

Mighty Ducks 2

In the final game against Iceland scene, there is a point where you can see that the people in the stands are actually cardboard cut-outs.

What happened to the tattoo Portman had in D2?

Jesse and Averman walk off the platform twice at the conference that Iceland breaks up.

When Adam comes in and says "when I woke up this morning, the pain was gone", Connie is mouthing his lines behind him.

During the big game in Iceland, I counted about 20 charges of cross-checking, 10 of roughing, a couple of tripping and slashing and a host of others. Any referee with the brains God gave a baboon would have caught those calls.

At the end of the movie, they show a bunch of ducks flying. Those are not ducks, they are geese.

In the scene where an Iceland player crashes into the goalie and the puck supposedly goes in the net for a goal, when the camera switches to the overhead shot there is no puck going into the net.

That goal would not count - running into the goalie is a penalty.

One Icelandic site-watcher said: This so called hockey team from Iceland is not from Iceland. Their language could be Russian for all I know, but it was not Icelandic.

At the end of the final game when Adam gets ready to take his penalty shot they show a full body shot and it is clear that he is wearing standard CCM skate blades. There is a hole at the toe of the blade. When he starts his penalty shot, they show a close up of his skate kicking the puck and now he has Tuuk (that's the way you spell it) blades because there is no hole at the toe. Therefore, it's obvious a double is used to take the penalty shot.

Mighty Ducks 3

Coach Orion throws the puck at the bulletin board and makes a hole in it, but when he walks out of the locker room, the hole is gone.

After the first bash brother "strips" in the penalty box, the next time you see him (5 min later) you see him with all his pads on and everything. They never refer to the fact that he threw his pads into the crowd.

Miller's Crossing

In the powder room scene where Gabriel Byrne throws his drinking glass at Vera's vanity mirror, it makes a small crack in the upper left hand corner. The next shot shows a huge crack in the middle of the mirror.

The Mirror Has Two Faces

In the scene where Barbara Streisand has just told her brother in law that she is not in love with him, as she is leaving you can see a camera in a window reflection.

Mission: Impossible

After retrieving the NOC list from Langley, and escaping to London, Krieger pulls the disc from his pocket and attempts to blackmail Ethan. Ethan responds by making another disc vanish in a feat of magic. Krieger, angry, storms from the room and chucks the disc he had into the wastepaper basket. It clearly breaks into several pieces. You can even see a chunk fly up out of the basket, yet when Ethan pulls it once again from the basket, it's perfectly intact.

When Tom Cruise is talking to Krieger and the other guy on the train about breaking into Langley, he clearly states that any noise above a whisper would trigger the alarm system, but the noise he makes when he's getting pulled up from the room is much louder than a whisper.

Max@Job 3:14 is an illegal e-mail address.

Claire leaves the firefighter uniform in the closet but is seen wearing it again in the truck while leaving.

During the scene where Ethan is hanging in the bank, he can't talk or he'll set off the sound-sensor; he can't touch the ground because of the weight sensor; and he can't cause the room to get too hot because he'll set off the heat sensor. If there were a vent, the temperature would most likely change. Why isn't there a motion detector?

When Tom Cruise walks along the bridge just before he jumps into the water to escape - it took them 25 takes and 2 hours to get that right.

Mississippi Burning

Gene Hackman and Willem Defoe visits the house of Deputy Pell twice. After the first visit Gene tells Willem about the wedding photo (where some of the invitees show the Ku Klux Klan sign with their fingers). However, Gene has not seen
the photo at this time. He does not see the photo until the second time he comes back to talk to Mrs. Pell.

Moonstruck

In the scene where Cher is sitting at the kitchen table, talking to her father and drinking Spumante, the level in the champagne glasses is different every time the camera angle changes.

Loretta at one point in the movie gets a make-over which includes getting her hair coloured to cover up the grey. In several scenes before she gets her hair coloured Loretta's grey hairs are missing - when Loretta goes to meet Ronnie (Nicholas Cage) for the first time at the bakery, Loretta doesn't have any grey hair.

Most Wanted

In the part before one character gets ready to jump off the building, pay attention to the back pack he has on. In one scene he has it on, the next shot, it's not there. And in the very next shot, there it is again.....

Monty Python's Life of Brian

You can clearly see overhead wiring during the manger scene near the beginning.

Mortal Kombat

In the scene with Scorpion and Jonny Cage in the forest, you can see a car drive by in the far left corner. You have to look really close though.

Moving Target

There is one scene at a party where a guy drives off in a car. When he gets into the car, it is facing up the driveway with another car in front of it. When he drives off he drives straight ahead, without reversing down the driveway.

Mr. Nice Guy

The reports in the movie are hiding and video tapping the "drug deal gone bad" at the beginning of the movie. For the location that they are taping, there isn't any movement, they stay in one place. However, when the kids are watching the tape both times, it seems to be like an actual tape of what was going on, not what they could have taped, because, not only do they
have cuts (going from one actors face to the next with no transitions) but they also show a shot where you could see where the cameraman was hiding, little hard for him to hit that angle! -%

Multiplicity

When Michael Keaton is talking to his wife he picks up Froot Loops, then a second later he picks up Cheerios.

My Best Friend's Wedding

The whole time Julia Roberts is at the garden party on the day of the wedding, she has two pairs of sunglasses. Sometimes she is just holding them, and at others she has one pair on her head and one pair hanging from the collar of her shirt. Both pairs can be easily seen during her conversation with Dermott Mulroney on the tennis court.

When Jules is leaning against Michael's hotel door she is smoking a cigarette. When he opens the door she falls back and ash from the cigarette falls on her hair. Two scenes later it is gone and her hair is rearranged while she is still on the floor.

Michael opens the door while she's leaning against it, and while she has a cigarette in her left hand. When she falls onto the floor of the room with no solid object to lean against, the cigarette is in her right hand.

My Cousin Vinny

There is a scene where Joe Pesci bodyslams the guy from the bar who owes him money. He slams him onto the pavement, but you can see the guy bounce when he hits the concrete - during filming they used some type of mattress to break his fall.

Mystery Science Theatre 3000: The Movie

When Mike is using the manipulator arm, Manos, to pry the Hubble loose from the Satellite of Love, he wipes sweat off his brow. This causes the arm to peel a hole in the Hubble. If the arm was matching his movements, it would have turned the hand, and not peel open the hull.

While watching the film, there are several points when Crow moves his mouth, but doesn't say anything.

When Crow, Servo, and Mike are using the Interoceter, Servo gets zapped in the head a few times. One of the times, there is about a two second delay from when the animated laser hits him to when his head sparkles.
