UHF

In the Town Talk/Geraldo sequence, the order in which the maniacs are sitting changes.

The Unbearable Lightness of Being

The actress loads her 35mm Praktica camera with Kodak film. That's not really strange, but the film is situated in 1968 around the invasion of the Russians in Prague. The film cassette is clearly visible as having DX coding on one side for setting the film speed automatically. This feature had yet to be invented in 1968, because it was released in the early 80's.

The Uncanny

In the story titled "Quebec Province 1975", child witch Lucy gets back at her bullying cousin Angela by shrinking her to the size of a mouse. Minutes later, Angela looks up, lifts her hands over her head and begs for mercy. Obviously Lucy is preparing to step on her. But we see Lucy lifting her foot off the floor several seconds AFTER Angela starts begging!

Under Siege (and II)

In each film Segal plays a chief petty officer, who happens to be an ex-Navy SEAL. In the posters for Under Siege, he's shown in the dress white uniform of an admiral. In the second film he's still depicted as an officer, but he has been demoted to a lieutenant. I guess the producers just thought the officer's uniform look prettier, even though they're the very same uniform, except a chief has anchors on his collar and no shoulder boards.

Under Siege II

Look for the blatantly awful special effects when the main bad guy is falling into the flames.

Undercover Blues

When the Detectives are talking to the Chief about the Blues the Chief is peeling an orange: which gets peeled, the skin is thrown down on the desk, then it gets peeled again until the detectives leave the room when the orange peel hits the desk again.

Unforgiven

When "The Schofield Kid" kills "Quick Mike" in the outhouse, all of the shots are to the chest. In the cutaway shot of the dead Quick Mike, he has a bullet hole in his forehead.

Universal Soldier

When Van Damme's character comes home, his mother calls him Jean instead of his character's name.

US Marshalls

For a big budget piece, with lots of important actors, you'd think that they could keep the overhead boom mike out of the picture a little more often. One contributor counted at least 3 sightings - watch the top of the screen.

The Untouchables

When Costner is at Connery's house for the first time, Connery's collar is opened, then buttoned, then open again.

In the scene where Al-Capone has sent hit men to murder Malone, he is shown going from one room to another, alternately, from outside and then from within his apartment. When the shots are taken from outside, the camera pulls up tight to the outside window. You can see the cameraman on the crane.

The Usual Suspects

Towards the end of the movie, Hockney (Kevin Pollack) looks into a van and discovers it's full of cash. He is then shot from behind and blood splatters all over the money. When his chest explodes, you can see the plastic of the bag the blood was in.

At the beginning of the flashback in which the main characters hold up and expose New York's Finest Taxi Service, there are two consecutive shots of a plane landing at an airport; one from the front and one from the back. The number of engines the plane has differs in the two shots.

Valley Girl

At the "valley party" near the beginning (the one where Julie and Randy meet) you can clearly see "x's" marking the floor where the actors are dancing, just so they are sure to hit their marks.

A Very Brady Sequel

When Greg is surfing he accidentally falls into the water, at least 50 metres from the shore. About 5 seconds later, Greg is lying perfectly on his back on the shore, unconscious. There is no way that he can he swim 50 metres in 5 seconds while being unconscious.

Virtuosity

When Denzel Washington is injected with the tracking device,it is injected behind his ear. But later, when he looks at his cop friend and says something to the effect of "Get my gun", the band-aid is on the side of his neck.

Volcano

When they are trying to find a way to stop the lava from going in to the museum, Tommy Lee Jones has an idea to push a bus up against the museum to divert the lava. The plan works but the lava does not melt the bus like it melted the Tommy Lee Jones' car or the firetruck.

When the co-star Anne Heche goes to check out the flow of the lava in the red line tunnel she goes to a payphone and calls Tommy Lee Jones' cellphone but his cell phone burned up in his car. The phone she calls him on is a phone that he took from a news reporter. So how did she get his number to call him.

When they are trying to stop the lava from flowing down the street, they make a "U" shape in the street with the cement highway dividers. If they had laid the dividers the other way, they would have supported themselves, and not
need the trucks behind to hold them.
