National data and information exchange
- The National Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (NSEPA) has appointed SMHI as a "national data host" for hydrophysical/chemical marine data from national monitoring programmes (main data submitters are GMF, SMF, UMF)
- The National Board of Fisheries and SMHI conducts joint cruises where the data centre manages the hydrographical data
- A number of regional coastal monitoring programmes uses SMHI as data host
