Hat Tether

'hat tether'

  1997 USA patent 5,675,148

While some of our featured inventions have real practical applications, you just have to wonder who is actually going to  use them. Take our next invention as an example. Losing your hat in the wind is an age old problem. We’d even bet that’s why chin straps were invented. But chin straps can be bothersome and what self respecting baseball hat wearer would put a chin strap on their hat? That brings us to the Hat Tether, practical yet goofy. The Hat Tether is a nylon cord that clips to the back of your shirt collar and the back of your hat. The wind blows, your hat flies off your head and it dangles from shirt collar. You didn’t lose your hat and heck, you could possibly even save your toupee with this gadget. One thing is for certain; the fashion police have already issued arrest warrants.
