International Consulting Services shall on a commercial basis provide consulting services and technologies, based on measurements and model simulations, thereby meeting weather- and water-related information needs for decision making within energy supply, water resources management, construction and environmental protection, on the international market.

Environment

Products: Air Quality Management systems and consultancy services based on the Indic-Airviro software. Dispersion, transport and deposition calculation/modelling of pollution in lakes, rivers, seas and the atmoshere. Impact assessments. Design and evaluation of monitoring programmes. Measurements, analyses and data acquisition systems.
Problems: Pollution assessment, management and control. Physical planning. Resource utilisation and optimisation. Validation of model/monitoring results.
Customers: Planning and environmental protection agencies/authorities (local / regional). Industries and other companies.

Water Management

Products: Hydrological investigations and feasibility studies involving data evaluation and numerical modelling. Installation and calibration of hydrological models and water management systems.
Problems: Water resources charting, quantification, management, optimisation and forecasting.
Customers: Developers, planners and operators in hydropower, irrigation and water supply.

Construction

Products: Normal and extreme design values on e.g. winds, precipitation, flows, currents, waves and water levels in connection with building. Optimisation of designs using various numerical models. Measurements. Forecasts.
Problems: Determination of design parameters. Optimisation of design. Evaluation of data. Data acquisition. Planning of construction operations.
Customers: Planners, designers, engineering consultants, contractors and project managers.

Training and Institutional Development

Products: Institutional co-operation, training programmes, seminars and transfer of technology in the fields of meteorology, hydrology and oceanography.
Problems: Scientific, technical, institutional and personnel development (theoretical/applied).
Customers: Sister institutes, environmental protection agencies/authorities, industries, and international development banks/agencies.
