Mad Martian Masks!

Click on a small photo to see a big one!

First up we have two similar masks, including photos of them in the making. Here are the infamous "Warhead"™ and "Broccoli Man"™

The nuclear mushroom cloud head came first and people made fun of it looking like broccoli before it was painted. The first broccoli head was actually the nuclear mushroom cloud covered with green paper. Oh yah, that's Broccoli Man serving beef'n'broccoli chili at a chili cook-off. You can now hear Broccoli Man™ sing!

Here are some more Mad Martian masks:

The plecostomus teaching class is the oldest pictured here, around 1979. What's a "plecostomus" you say, and why did I make a costume of one? It's a suckermouth catfish common in aquariums and I get crazy ideas sometimes (see broccoli head above). The red guy is Reddy Kilowatt, used during the '30s-'60s to advertise electricity. Reddy is still in use today in some areas. Note that the frog and chameleon masks are for sale in the gift shop.
