Finding Info on the Internet

There are vast resources of information available over the Internet. However, it may be difficult actually finding that information. This page is designed to point you in the right direction.
- Yahoo - A Guide to the WWW
- Yahoo is a very extensive, hierarchical database of resources available via the World Wide Web. When you know what you are looking for, this is often the best place to start looking.
- Webcrawler Search Database
- Webcrawler allows you to search for key-words in document titles and content available over the World Wide Web. It searches a database which is generated by a special program that automatically looks throughout the WWW. Many irrelevant documents may turn up in a key-word search, but if the resource you are looking for isn't listed at Yahoo, this is a good place to look.
- CUSI Search Program
- CUSI is unified search interface for information available on the Internet. If you're looking for a document on the WWW, and you've tried Yahoo and WebCrawler, try CUSI. Also, if you are looking for information not necessarily on the WWW, such as software, someone's e-mail address, or electronic dictonaries, CUSI is a good place to look. (This service is accessed from the CAAS WWW Server.)
- NetSpace's old "Virtual Hotlist".
- NetSpace was formerly the home of a list of pointers to interesting
sites on the internet. This list is no longer being maintained in any way.
However, if you're used to using it, it's still available.
