Second Noah, episode 5

Mar. 2, ABC, 8 pm -- In this episode, aired on a Saturday to
test its ratings, Jesse saved the life of a person by performing
a tracheotomy (sp?) to clear the person's airway, using a simple
pocket knife and straw. Days later she was sued by the same person,
because she isn't a certified medical doctor to work on humans.

While riding with housekeeper Shirley, the two young girls discovered
a "sun visor" full of traffic tickets that Shirley received, which
made Noah and Jesse wonder whether or not she should remain with
the Becketts.

Also, it was Roxanna's big night at the high school prom. Ricky,
who was performing with his band at the dance, noticed Roxanna's date
wording "I love you" to another girl. When Ricky later notified Roxanna
of this, she became upset and soon left the dance floor. Ricky took
off after her in the middle of his solo. Both returned and danced with
each other.

At court, the judge criticized the plaintiffs for using "opportunism"
as a reason for suing Jesse. The judge ruled in favor of Jesse.
And, all of the kids raised ~$72 (by displaying their "pink donkey" Juanita)
to help pay for Shirley's tickets, and to persuade their parents
to keep Shirley. Yes, she stayed with the Becketts.

No one would expect that a show that has been so inocent and pure could be changed to represent what parents fear the most. Is it safe to let childeren watch a show unatended like the Muppets???? NO, not any more. \\BEWARE// All T.V. is going to the toilet. Maybe Cliton is right, the V chip is needed to block out such shows like the Muppets and other filth and bad programming. What a shame.

So, it's 9 o'clock in winnipeg, my mom and i sit contently in front of the tv, waiting. We are waiting for the action of the er, the excitment of the fast pace lives the nurses and doctors live. The drama is incredible and the storylines are fair. If you have yet to see er, this thursday, sit down, calm down and watch, rest up ahead of time; you're gonna need it.

Second Noah, episode 6

Mar. 4, ABC, 8 pm -- On this ep, the compulsive story-teller
Luis, who was to sing at the school's talent show, promised fellow
classmates that his "father" Julio Iglesias would attend. At the
same time, Hannah falls in love with an obese boy, Rex, who received
a lot of ridicule from classmates, and even some of Hannah's siblings
when she invited him for dinner on the gazebo.
Also, Ricky and Roxanna seem to get a little more romantic with
each other (mind you, they're not blood relatives). While they
searched for an Iglesias impersonator to satisfy Luis' beliefs,
Roxanna crossed tracks with Ricky's ex-girlfriend Darby, who
had returned from Cincinnati after a failed recording career
and now worked at a restaurant in Tampa's Hispanic district.
Ricky successfully persuaded a music store owner to dress up as
Iglesias for the talent show. His costume was pretty convincing
among the public!
At the show, Hannah read her award-winning essay, but midway through
it, she changed her wording and dedicated the essay to Rex's
"beauty." Luis bombed his part, but Noah walked to the stage to
help him out. After Luis' performance, the impersonator stood
up, saying, "That's my boy!" Moments later, Ricky, having doubts
about the impersonator's willingness to go through, dressed up
as Iglesias himself and busted through the door with the same
reply.

This show is beginning to look more and more like a family drama.

This is the best police drama I have ever seen. A BBC production, and god bless'em. The characters are human, and the dialogue is real. The protagonists aren't pretty Hollywood types. They are real, and have all the foibles of real people. It isn't happy-ending formulaic crap that characterises most TV drama today.

magazine) and attractive detectives was initially
innovative in various areas for a weekly cop show; the multiracial
cast, an urban flavor in terms of language, style, dress and storyline.
But this season's episodes have been filled with outlandish storylines,
(the Black Bikers group in NYC - yeah right), overacting supporting
actors, and writing that end each episode on such a preachy
note you think it's Sunday morning. I gave the show a 5 because I believe
there is hope I've read that the show will deal w/issues
such as AIDS in upcoming episodes. Hopefully the show will
track down the writers from the first season and beg them to return.
Perhaps they will return the show to its original place--on
my television screen on Thursday evenings.

As a result of sharp writing and top notch acting this show
realistically portrayed many work situations that many us in
lower level positions face each day at "the office" as we
try to impress our bosses and climb the corporate ladder
without getting knifed in the back by jealous supervisors.
Hats off to you Dave! But too bad CBS didn't agree, huh?
I have heard that CBS will air the show again in March '96.

Although the mini-series story line isn't entirely
historically accurrate, the film gives a great description
of what it was like to be involved in the infamous Confed-
erate prison. Director John Frankenheimer has again released
a fine piece of work that will be cherished by the history
community. Jan Triska (Captain Wirtz) put in a definite Emmy
award nomination performance. A must see!

Second Noah, episode 4

Feb. 26, ABC, 8 pm -- This week Noah and wife Jesse decided to
to mix business with pleasure when they traveled to New Orleans,
leaving housekeeper Shirley and eldest son Ricky in charge.
All the while, Hurricane Betsy was taking aim at Tampa/St. Pete,
leaving the kids in danger. All helped in the preparation, which
included taking their mini-zoo to their respective shelters.
During the storm, Shirley and 1 of the twins ventured out and
were trapped by a fallen tree and dangling power lines. When
Luis tried to rescue his pig from the outdoors, winds broke a
fence and released an alligator. Ricky and sister Roxanne eventually
came to the rescue. In the meantime, Noah & Jesse frantically
tried to find a way to fly back to Tampa to be with their kids.
Shirley and the twin were found by a deputy, in the middle of the
storm, with live power lines all around him!
More dramatic? Yes, a little more. More realistic? Not really;
the problem with that is that they could have filmed the hurricane
scenes WHEN THE SUN WAS NOT SHINING!! That ruined the entire
feeling of the scene! The rating would have been 8 or 9 had it not
been for that, and the part about the deputy in those electric
lines. Kudos to WFTS meteorologist Wayne Shattuck, who was seen

Another episode airs this Saturday.

Feb. 19, ABC, 8 pm -- The third episode included the eldest boy
Ricky nearly splitting up with his girlfriend after she lands
a recording contract, the two girls awaiting an alien encounter,
another child, Luis, being disqualified in a soap-box derby,
and the twins searching the Internet for their biological mother.

This drama is starting to look a little more like a drama, but even
with its latest improvements, it could still stand a little work.
Tonight's (2-26) ep features the children alone in their house
during a hurricane. We'll see how dramatic or realistic that gets.

This is the best show of all time. Not only is it incredibly
funny, it is creative, and well filmed. The cast of
girls are foxes, and the guys are cool. The more you watch
it the bigger fan you become. The push barriers and really
make you feel what their feeling. And it seams like they
really are friends in real life, and not just doing the
show for money. They are having fun and it shows. So if

I love it. The two main characters are great together. They are both good looking and have great chemistry. The show has comedy, drama, adventure and romance. I didn't think I would like it when it first came on the air but I was surprised at how good it was. I hope it stays on a long time and I hope this gets more people to watch it.

(ABC, Feb. 5, 8 pm ET) -- I had special interest in viewing the
premiere of the 1st show ever to be entirely filmed in my hometown
and current place of residence. "Second Noah" focuses on the Beckett
family, its eight children (most adopted) and a wide array of pets.
The father was a basketball coach at the Univ. of Tampa and an author,
and the mother began working at the nursery of Busch Gardens.

This family-oriented show is not an instant hit. Although the
situations on this episode are realistic (relationship w/ a girlfriend,
racism, et al.), the show itself seems like a fantasy. Who'd really
have the time, facilities, and $$ to care for 37 animals, ranging
from birds to iguanas to alligators?

I'll continue to watch it, but unfortunately I don't expect it to go far.

This is one of the finest television shows on the air, featuring a female in the lead role. I find that in each episode aired, the writers present a clear and believable storyline.
Lucy Lawless (Xena) is one of the truly great actors to emerge from New Zealand, and become an international symbol for womens equality in film.
If you want to finally see a show with a true woman role model succeeding in a mans world, may I recommend you turn on Xena: Warrior Princess.

I have always liked to see Betty White in sitcoms. Adding Marie Osmond to the cast makes this show INCREDIBLE. Marie seems to be a natural. I hope this show appears for another season. If not, I hope Betty and Marie both get the chance to appear on another sitcom.

Besides being one of the most well written shows on tv in the last few years
it has actually been scary at times. Gary Cole is simply wonderfull.As S
heriff Buck. It's full of suprises quirks and fun I am very suprised sad network like
CBS had the ability to greenlight such a fine show. To anyone who likes quality
entertainment I recomend this one highly.

"All My Children", but now I think they are stupid! STORY-
Alady slept with her uncle, who slept with the girl who
babysits the lady's kids. He finds out he got them both pregnant,

This show proves that disfunctional families can survive in
the 90's!!! Homer is so funny with his stupidity when you
least expect it. On a rescent episode, Homer yelled to his
neighbors if a certain terrorist would take America, and
everyone yelled no, loudly, but one quiet voice said yes!!!

I know that this show is just another sitcom, but it's refreshing to see a fun show about young intelligent people.
I'm tired of shows about newly divorced parents and their struggle at child-rearing. Or the family of six trying
to make the mortgage, cook dinner, and teach their kiddies some great moral lesson. Friends is a show that deals with
people in my age group who are single, trying to make their way in the world (don't own a home yet), and are witty, sexy and smart.
I make the effort to be home Thursday nights and I'm even going to watch the Superbowl with a whole gruop of my friends
so I can see the new Friends episode that follows. My only complaint is that these "friends" don't seem to have any friends
of color. They live in New York, how can they not know any people of color? Just one Asian girlfriend named Julie and she's
not a regular cast member. I love the show, but they desperately need some diversity.

agents, yet they seem to interact with the deputy director
an awful lot.
Not, by the way, what is ACTUALLY the case with the FBI
agents I know. It's a bit more like the military - how
lieutenants talk to the commanding general!?
But, it's still one of the best. And, Oh yes... a SMALL
comment - when are Molder and Skully going to learn how
to SHOOT!!! I'm just a fair handgun shot and I can shoot
RINGS around them. And tell your writers, NOBODY, but
N-O-B-O-D-Y takes an agent's gun away from them without
a fight or damn good reason.

I usually really enjoy the show, although the storyline has gotten a little ridiculous lately. I mean, the guy comes back from the insane asylum? That seems a little far-fetched. They're also really dragging out this wedding thing a little too much. Of course, as long as Dean Cain is superman, I'll keep on watching it.

What the hell was this pyscho doing on regular T.V. I found this to be a cheap rip off of the beverly hills 902103365847 show. What a bunch of crap. I think Montel should stick to his talk show which is better than his real show. I honestly cannot see him doing any more shows. I think that this sucks.
Well I have nothing more to say so I will just talk about his talk show for a little bit. Last comment. THIS SUCKS CHANGE IT!!!!!

This is another show that has excellent writing and acting. I find the concept of one major case through the season to be a plus, not a minus. (The fact that some people have said that one storyline is too few says more about the attention span of the average viewer than the show). Again, it is a show that they messed around with the time slot and I hope they finally leave it where it is. The cast is very effective in fleshing out the characters.

This show has consistently been the best on television. They tried to kill it with swapping the date and time around but IT WOULDN'T DIE!!! It is THAT good. Quality writing, phenominal acting and the most inovative use of the camera on television since I don't know when.

It's one of the freshest most inovative shows on the air.
Great writing, cinematography, and sterling perfromances
Paul Gross and David Marciano make this one a winner. Add to
that the hippest soundtrack since Miami Vice.

It's the best export from Canada since Molson's Golden!
