- Cyberdog, the codename for Apple's hot new technology for accessing the
Internet, is coming! Based on OpenDoc, it harnesses the might of the 'net and

Apple System Software Technologies and Mac OS
- Information about Macintosh system software now and plans for the future of

QuickTime

- The Linux for Power Macintosh Web Site!
- Apple Computer
announced its support of a project
with the Open Software Foundation (OSF) to port Linux, a freely distributed
version of UNIX, to a variety of Power Macintosh products. This version of
Linux operates on the OSF Mach microkernel which will be running natively
on the PowerPC microprocessor.

- Apple's Advanced Technology Group online
- ATG invites you to visit their Web site. The mission of the
Advanced Technology Group is to supply Apple Computer's project
divisions with Advanced Technologies to maintain our innovation and
differentiation. Some highlights of ATG's site include
Active Essays from the Learning Concepts Group, information
about the Apple Design Project 1995, the ATG Cool Tools
Awards for Internet tools, and a demo of KidSim,
a simulation environment for learning.
- Apple's FCC Petition on wireless communications
- Apple submitted this Petition for Rulemaking to the Federal Communications Commission in
May 1995. In the petition, Apple requests that the FCC create an
"NII band"--a radio spectrum allocation that would permit high-speed
data communications for schools, libraries, community groups,
businesses, and institutions. The petition details the improvements
in communication which can be expected as a result of this
allocation.
- Apple White Papers
- This is a growing library of Apple White Papers detailing
the technology behind Apple products. Look here if you're interested in
finding out how our advanced technology makes Apple's products fit
in and stand out.
- Apple Classrooms of
Tomorrow Research
- The Apple
Classrooms of Tomorrow (ACOT) project explores the ways teachers use
information technology effectively in the classroom. The ACOT reports are

- Apple Library of Tomorrow
- The Apple Library of Tomorrow program (ALOT)
supports new uses of information technology. See what the California Museum

- Dylan
- The Cambridge Lab Web site highlights Dylan, an
object-oriented dynamic language developed by Apple. Find out about
