First, thanks to the hundreds of people who sent us feedback on our newly designed Office Web Site. Your responses included many favorable comments and a few legitimate complaints. Overall, people are happy with the new design and navigation. A few of you have had difficulty downloading the Microsoft FrontPage trial version. Admittedly, downloading a 9.4 megabyte file over a modem can be a frustrating endeavor. To make this easier, we now offer the option of downloading the trial version in four smaller pieces. We also offer two geographically different download sites, the Microsoft site in Redmond, WA, and the original Vermeer site in Cambridge, MA. See the Microsoft FrontPage Free Software area for more details. A number of you have had difficulties finding the Word Macro Virus Protection Tool. We had inadvertently changed the language so that searching on "word prank macro" or "concept virus," as many people referred to it, did not find the tool on the Office Web site. We restored the language, so searching on either description will again find the tool on our site. Or, go directly to the Word Macro Virus Protection Tool. We apologize for any inconvenience. Finally, we had a few inquiries about the new Internet Assistant for Microsoft PowerPoint. This is available on our site on the Microsoft PowerPoint Product Information page. Look for an article highlighting this great add-on in an upcoming issue. Well, it's time to get back to work on the next issue. Keep that feedback coming, and visit this site often for the latest news and information about Microsoft Office.
