If you are a Windows user:
For Microsoft Internet Browser built in
Microsoft Plus for Windows 95:
First of all, we strongly recommend you to install Internet Explorer, v.2.0. You can install even Russian Internet Explorer!
If you are afraid to do such "serious" modifications, you have to check in the Registry the Key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Styles and replace ALL the fonts with the correspondent Cyrillic Fonts, which are installed in your system.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer ver. 2.0
:
Open Options dialog box and set appropriate fonts. If you are using Pan European or Russian version of Windows95, we recommend you to install Times New Roman and Courier New fonts.
In some cases it could not help. Then open the Registry and modify values in the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Styles. You need to replace IEFixedFontName and IEPropFontName
with Cyrillic Fonts.
For Mosaic 2.0 and Netscape Navigator
2.0:
In the Options menu select proper Fonts. Unfortunately in most cases you should edit registry entries or correspondent INI-files.

If you are NOT a Windows user :
We are not intended to support non-Windows Internet browsers.
Generally speaking it is a browser's duty to provide you with the ability to display national symbols adequately. Microsoft is testing right now Internet Explorer v.2.0i, which has a feature to display KOI8-r texts without any modifications in the system (e.g. installing additional fonts). As soon as it will be available, reference to it appeare on the Russian page.
