Live Broadcasts
NPR studios have been purpose-built to accommodate the most technically
demanding standards for live production. NPR's talk show facilities are
second to none and feature an advanced call-screening computer system as
well as a separate booth for screener and producer and full intercom
systems for seamless coordination between the director, screener, engineer
and live talent. Transmission capabilities include ISDN, Switched 56, T-1
and satellite.
Field Production
Our engineering team will travel anywhere to record your on-location
productions. From single recordings to 36 input consoles and portable
satellite origination, NPR has earned a reputation for delivering the
highest technical quality. Complex productions involving multiple sites,
music recording and unique, one of a kind projects are routine for our
highly skilled staff.
Music Recording
NPR's Washington, D.C., headquarters houses one of the largest recording
studios on the East Coast. Its separate isolation booth and reflection
free control room allow for the most pristine recordings. NPR's studios
also have CD mastering capability. Our award winning sound engineers
have backgrounds in jazz, classical, blues and pop recording. The facility
is equipped with a SSL Console SL4048 (G+ Computer). For a complete

Audio Services
A wide range of audio production services from dubbing to voice track to mixing are available. At our Washington, D.C., location, we can restore virtually any previously recorded audio in our Sonic Solutions No-Noise( digital editing suites.
Technical Training
NPR offers one-on-one technical training to beginning broadcasters. Training is given by our technical directors who are experienced trainers. In just a few sessions, you will feel comfortable with the basic technical aspects of radio operations.
