Legal Situation: Prostitution is technically
legal, but several surrounding activities are outlawed which make it
hard to work legally. It is illegal to solicit or advertise or run a
brothel. It is also illegal
to kerb-crawl. Probably similar to the situation in Canada.
There are rumors that prostitution is tolerated in Scotland; the
bordellos are called 'Saunas' there.
Organizations working for the complete legalization of prostitution in the UK include the Corrective Party, run by an ex-pro (Lindi St. Clair).
The age of consent: 16 for heteros, 18 for gays.
Finding prostitutes: Magazines with informations: unknown.
