The THES and THESIS to cover "Tucson II" in depth

Toward a Science of Consciousness 1996
April 8-13, 1996
Tucson Convention Center Music Hall
Sponsored by The University of Arizona

Advances in fields as varied as magnetic resonance imaging and artificial neural networks are steering the study of consciousness back towards the scientific mainstream. Significant landmarks have been the launch of the Journal of Consciousness Studies, and the international conference entitled "Toward a Scientific Basis for Consciousness" at the University of Arizona in April 1994.

The second Tucson conference, next April, will bring together researchers from many disciplines, including psychology, neuroscience, physics, philosophy, ethnology, aesthetics and cognitive science, to discuss the progress that has been achieved and the mysteries that remain.

The Times Higher Education Supplement and THESIS, the THES Internet Service, will provide essential background information and in-depth coverage of the Tucson II conference.
