How we do it

Adobe encourages educators to teach its publishing and multimedia software. The award-winning curriculum consists of many lessons and review projects for 16 or more hours of study. The Adobe Classroom in a Box software is licensed for installation on up to ten computers used in classrooms and labs. In addition, ten copies of the Classroom in a Book, an Instructor Notes CD-ROM, Adobe Acrobat software on a CD-ROM, and a CD-ROM to learn this easy-to-use Acrobat software are included.

Using the Adobe Press Classroom in a Book, (included in the Classroom in a Box kits), educators may elect to use only those modules that relate to a particular class, or to use the complete curriculum to teach an entire term.

Educators are encouraged to consider becoming Adobe Certified Instructors. To help instructors prepare for the product proficiency exams which validate their knowledge and skills, we have prepared a brochure detailing the steps and study materials.

Two Adobe Acrobat classes are offered on CD-ROMs, to help you realize a better understanding of the features and benefits of Adobe's electronic distribution software. Customers use Acrobat to save time, add functionality, control design, and preserve their corporate identity, whether at their workplace or in cyberspace.

On-site training: Corporations and government agencies can arrange for customized classes at their own United States or Canada site, or at Adobe's offices in California or Massachusetts, by contacting the Learning Resources Group at 1-415-962-2891 or e-mailing adobe.train@adobe.com
FrameMaker trainers will be listed on Adobe's Web site, our FaxYI, and in Adobe Magazine.

The Classroom in a Book Series

for Macintosh or Windows platforms Recognized for excellence worldwide, the Adobe Press Classroom in a Book series is created by Adobe's own team of professional writers, artists, production artists, designers and expert trainers. Using the award-winning Classroom in a Book series, people interested in the publishing and multimedia fields can learn to become more productive and creative.

The CD-ROM included in each Classroom in a Book contains the electronic files necessary to complete the many solution-based project lessons. The software application is not included.

During development, Classroom in a Book materials are tested at Adobe. Adobe's trainers, working with technical support specialists and outside instructors, spend many days in the classroom, testing the lessons and projects. In addition, independent individuals test the materials to ensure that they are accurate, clear, suitably self-paced, and sustain interest.
