Sally Reid, composer, ASCAP

Composer Sally Reid was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, in 1948. She holds the Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Professor of Music at Abilene Christian University where she served for eleven years as Department Chair. Reid was editor of the ILWC Journal (International League of Women Composers) from 1991-1994 and presently serves as IAWM Vice-President (International Alliance for Women in Music) and Production Editor for the IAWM Journal. She has received ASCAP standard awards since 1987. Her compositions have been performed by North/South Consonance, Composers Concordance, Synchronia, New Music Now!, and Opus 90 and have been included in broadcast series in Michigan and Australia, and on the Texas Composers Forum's Texas Composers Today.
