Rolland Golden was born in New Orleans in 1931, and lives in Folsom, Louisiana. His artistic education was at the John McCrady Art School in New Orleans. Golden has had more than 100 one-man shows throughout the United States, as well as a one-man touring exhibit of the USSR in 1976-77, a touring exhibit in France in 1993, and a Retrospect Tour of southern museums in 1985. He is listed in Who's Who in American Art, the New York Art Review, and The American Artist Registry. He has been featured in many publications, including International Fine Art Collector, Southwest Art Magazine, Louisiana Life, New Orleans Magazine, Mississippi Magazine, Art Voices South (Cover), Today's Art, Art Spectrum Magazine (Cover), andWatercolor Fall '95 (Cover). He is the subject of the book The World of Rolland Golden by Don Lee Keith (1970).
Golden's works are in the permanent collections of dozens of museums, including the Pushkin Museum, Moscow, The New Orleans Museum of Art, the Springfield Art Museum, the Mississippi Museum of Art, St. John's Museum of Art, Masur Museum of Art, National Arts Club, and The Historic New Orleans Collection.
