Arnold Thompson, a Memphis artist, knows exactly what he is about; his subject matter - the jazz and blues greats, are subjects, not objects, of his youth in Memphis, Tennessee.
Patterson and Barnes, who collaborate in a unique way, both capture and are captured by the rich and original American art forms and the emotional power of these great American artists. Anderson, the newest addition to the wing, presents the first examples of a long line of blues portraits to be featured in the gallery. Please enjoy, with the complements of The Electric Gallery, a superlative collection of original art which interprets the American experience of jazz and blues.
