Hi folks!
Why aren't the 'Test Drive' files included with the "MS Visual Basic 4.0 Corporate Evaluation Guide" on the January edition of TechNet? These files will be extremely helpful in closing several pending consulting engagements.
Please help!

Hi Ted,
The 'Test Drive' sample files you speak of were accidentally left off the February edition of TechNet. They are being included in the March edition. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello TechNet,
I have an Access 2.0 database that I want to port to Access 7.0 under Windows NT. My Access 2.0 application uses the MS Data Outline Control; however, OUTL1016.OCX is a 16-bit OCX and I need a 32-bit version of the Data Outline Control. The TechNet CD for December 1995 contains an article "Chapter 4: MS Access for Windows 95 Product Enhancements" that states the Data Outline Control has been improved in Access for Windows 95, and even comes with a wizard. I can't find the Data Outline Control on my MS Office Professional for Windows 95 CD set. Where can I obtain it?
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
The 32-bit Data Outline Control is part of the MS Access Developer's Toolkit 7.0. The Access Developer's Toolkit 7.0 may be purchased from a local reseller. If you own the Access Developer's Toolkit 2.0, please inquire about upgrade pricing.

Kirsten

Hello,
I've tried to install the Windows NT 3.51 Resource Kit utilities from the December 1995 edition of TechNet. The CD-ROM drive, which contains TechNet, is attached to a PC running Windows 95 and shared across the Microsoft Network. I mounted my CD-ROM drive on a PC running Windows NT Workstation 3.51. The installation fails when trying to copy PERL files.
Hope you can help.
Thank you,

Hi Marieke,
The problem is that the long filenames in the PERL directory are not being recognized by NT. You may need to copy the PERL directory over through File Manager and then run the install. If you copy the directory over, check to see if the long filenames transferred properly. I don't know why the utilities will not install from the Windows 95 machine CD-ROM; however, this workaround should get you up and running. The rest of the utilities should have loaded fine if you ignored those with long filenames.
Thanks,
Brian

TechNet Team,
I love TechNet and would like to be able to print the entire contents tree. Is this possible? I think I'll have a better idea of what information is contained on each issue if I can view and scribble notes on a hard copy listing of TechNet's TOC.
J. R. Marshall
----------
Hey J. R.,
You can print the TechNet table of contents by selecting Content Listing in the Print What section of the Print dialog box. The TechNet TOC section that is displayed in the Entire Contents pane will be printed.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Michael
