McConnell Brain Imaging Centre
Montréal Neurological Institute, McGill University
Welcome to the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre (BIC) at the Montreal
Neurological Institute. This page is provided mainly as a guide for
local users to the services available through our local computer
network and the whole Internet. You might also be interested in the
BIC Welcome Page, which is the default
for web travellers from outside of the BIC.
- Getting Started
- This should be your first stop if you're a new user at the BIC, or if
you've been around for a while and need to learn some new software
tricks.
- What's New
- Recent developments (mostly software and systems related) at
the Brain Imaging Centre.
- Users' directories
- Here's where to access the home pages of users at the BIC (for
those who have set one up).
- Brain Imaging Demos
- A collection of film loops (stored as MPEG video) and images
demonstrating various applications and techniques of MR and PET
imaging.
- BIC Research
- Repository of MNI finished products (not finished yet!).
Currently, there are a few papers stored here; eventually, we
hope to provide a large archive of published papers as well as
bibliographic information.
- Software Toolbox
- Contains quick how-to guides and complete
documentation for several widely-used software packages.
- Local mirrors
- Local copies of Internet resources (Unixhelp, Big Dummy's
Guide, some FAQ's)
- Administrative
- Administrative stuff (the phone list, for example)
- The Outside World
- Yes, it exists. This is where to locate MUSE and PERUSE, and
those other staples not found within MNI walls. You can find other
Web servers at McGill and some useful references here.
