CSOS PEAK

CSOS PEAK is a dial-in Internet Service Provider providing full access to the Internet. PEAK services include a UNIX(tm) shell account service (running on a Sun Microsystems SparcStation 20), a menuing system for people who do not want or need to learn UNIX(tm) navigation, SLIP and PPP service, and a variety of Internet tools, including:

E-Mail
Electronic mail services around the world.
News
Local and International news groups to satisy any interest.
Gopher
A menu driven information service.
WWW
A hypertext information system.
Telnet
A way to log on to other computers and access services across the network.
Ftp
A File Transfer Program to move files between computers in order to allow software and data to be downloaded to your home computer.
Irc
Internet Relay Chat is a way for people to actively "talk" with many other users on topical channels.
Talk
A way for users to "talk" with one or two other users on line.

PEAK also provides mailing lists and discussion groups for items of local interest.
