Brakes

• Front: 11 inch diameter, ventilated discs with sliding calipers
• Rear: 11.5 inch diameter solid discs; proportioning valve
• Three-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS)
• Separate self-adjusting mechanical rear-wheel drum parking brakes

Agile and sure-footed, the 850's predictability benefits further from four-wheel disc brakes and ABS anti-lock braking. Ventilated front discs promote quick dissipation of the heat that can diminish stopping power. Three-channel ABS is designed to help assure that steering control is maintained even under the most severe braking conditions by helping to prevent wheel lock-up.
