Interior
Seen from the outside, every Volvo shares basic characteristics of strength, safety, and beauty. Experienced from the inside, these same characteristics translate into comfort, efficiency, and pleasure. Today, the word used as a statement of intent by designers in many fields is ergonomics: the science and art of making objects that feel good to the people who use them. Long before ergonomics became a popular term, Volvo had earned a reputation for designing car interiors to fit the physical (and the emotional) needs of drivers and passengers.
Interiors that harmoniously blend form and function. Interiors that are laid out logically and consistently. Interiors that please all the
senses-including a sense of proportion that comes, not from luxury for its own sake, but from just the degree of gratification justified by the occasion.
