CDROM Mastering

Introduction

We supply a complete CDROM mastering service which can be as simple as pressing a single copy of the contents of your disc or we can organise artwork and duplication as well.

Formats

We can accept data in a wide range of formats such as (well packaged) hard discs, 270Mb Syquests, Magneto-Optical discs and CDROM's. Data can be spread over a number of discs and joined together at pressing time.

Restrictions

You should be aware of the restrictions on filenames and directory structure that the ISO9660 CDROM format imposes. If large amounts of work have to be performed to make your disc pressable then extra charges may be incurred.

We can advise as to the best ways of working round these problems if contacted beforehand.

Broadly speaking the main problem areas are

• The only allowable characters are uppercase alphanumerics and the underscore character.
• If you wish to create discs readable under DOS then you need to keep the file names to 8 characters or less. File extensions can be used, however:
  • They must be exactly three characters long
  • A file cannot have RISC OS file type information and an extension.
• There is a maximum depth of 8 directory levels.

Duplicates are £35.00 each if pressed at the same time as the original. Copies ordered later will be charged at the full-rate.
