The One World Correspondent Overviews

A series of expert overviews by writers specially commissioned by OneWorld Online. Each will produce a hypertext essay that provides a framework of facts, arguments and principles that clarify an important and complex global issue.

Each hypertext essay will include three kinds of links:

to more detailed information provided by our correspondent
to related documents provided by other contributors to OneWorld Online
to related documents on other Web sites.

None of these essays is intended to be 'the last word' on the subject. They will be the subjective views of each of the correspondents - whom we will introduce to you on this page. And the correspondents will be updating and expanding their original essays each month, based partly on your input.

Our first One World Correspondent is [Peter Stalker:]

A former co-editor of New Internationalist magazine, Peter has also written the World Labour Report for the International Labour Organization (1992-93) and edited the Human Development Report (1991-94) for the United Nations Development Programme.
