Friendship Flight Across Siberia
![]()
Straight from the tundra, HotWired brings you a series of never-before-seen photographs and videos taken during the Friendship Flight across Siberia, the three-week adventure we presented on Wired Online during the summer of 1994. Flight photographer Marc-Bryan Brown shot hundreds of photos while writer Eric Treisman recorded hours of videotape on his Sony Handicam - of subjects that include drunken oil field workers, restricted radar sites, and laughing Yakut children. We've chosen some of the best and combined them with excerpts from the reports Eric filed during the trip. Return with us to this modern-day adventure in a HotWired exclusive.
