Dan Papia

Dan Papia was born in Santa Monica, California. He graduated from Sophia University in Tokyo in 1986. His accomplishments in Japan include naming the Tokyo Dome (Big Egg) in 1985 and exposing falsified journalism that put a weekly network documentary off the air in 1992. After finishing school, he went on to work as Asian correspondent for an online news network, leaving after two years to pursue other projects. His articles have appeared in such publications as The Independent and Face. He currently maintains homes in both Tokyo and Los Angeles. He operates a mail order business, works part time as senior editor for the Tokyo Journal, and writes a regular column on the Japanese media (in Japanese) for the Mainichi News.
