GENERAL SITUATION: South-west England and Wales will see sunshine in the morning, but during the afternoon heavy showers are expected to develop. Other western and central parts, after a cloudy start, should see sunny spells by late morning. Remaining eastern areas are likely to see a fair amount of misty low cloud into the afternoon. Northern Ireland will be dry with sunny spells. Western parts of Scotland should be dry with sunny spells as will central parts later. Eastern areas will stay rather grey with patchy drizzle, as will the far north.
